WORDPRESS(ed)
September 9, 2008
I haven’t had the motivation to blog in some time and for good reason. At American Songwriter, we are switching to WordPress for our website, which is awesome! But it makes for long days in front of a computer formatting, tagging, categorizing, and excerpting (is that a word?). Needless to say, the last thing I want to do when I get home is Bog Log O Gog.
September is upon us and the leaves will be falling right along with the hours of daylight soon enough. I’d like so much to make summer stay a little longer, but changes are needed, even if forced. Oh how life can turn!

Dear Starbucks,
August 15, 2008

old cup, new stir stick
I decided it was time to switch coffee shops a while back. Your prices were getting ridiculous and I was annoyed by all of the iTunes music propaganda. So, I tried going to some of the local coffee shops around Nashville, I even branched out to ones I’d never visited before. The iced coffees were okay, even good on some occasions. But to be quite honest, I missed your warmhearted welcome, you know, the one only a corporation listed among Fortune’s “100 Best Companies to Work For” could offer. Plus, your new stir stick that fits right into your lids, keeping the coffee from spilling…brilliant.
Bring back the pumpkin spice latte and my heart is yours forever.
xoxo

Remember this gem?
Oh, how I loved and idolized the “Magnificent 7.” I think everyone wanted to be a gymnast in 1996. But seriously, where’s Shannon Miller these days?
